A new night for June only, while dontdressup takes a holiday, sees the maestro of new school African electronic music takes to the decks at 93 feet east. DJ Mo's music steps on new ground, mixing Mali's vocal and drum traditions with contemporary influences, techno, electro and breaks. Meanwhile resident DJs Ben Osborne and Sonny will be ploughing through everything from neo disco to rocking beats, dub step and techno bleeps. |

Il est l'un des premiers à remixer la musique malienne ou africaine en général, avec les moyens du bord et grâce à une petite boite à rythme, qui a donné son nom à ce genre musical et qui va révolutionner le dance floor occidental : " le Djembeni" (littéralement : petit djembe) Cassette vendor along the station road in Bamako by day and dj in the Malian capital by night. He is one of the first to remix Malian music or African music in general, with the avalaible means and thanks to a small rythm box, which has lent its name to his genre of music, and which is set to revolutionise Westen dance floors : 'Djembeni' (litteraly: small djembe) |
